Android Phone + Google Docs App = Epic Collaboration Tool

Did you know you have group collaboration tool in your phone? If you’re using Android, go get “Google Docs” by Google in the Android Marketplace, it’s free.

Now, see that example video above? You can do that too. Just take a picture and send it to the web clipboard and start a new doc or insert it into an existing one.

Think about this from the perspective of students, teachers, small businesses with remote workers…

Log Your 100 Pushups, 200 Squats, 200 Situps in Google Docs

The One Hundred PushupsTwo Hundred SquatsTwo Hundred Situps programs are all available in app form. I personally think free is better (think free space on the phone too), so I created this Google Form that feeds into a Google Spreadsheet. You can expand on this idea to include all of the variables for each program.

Currently all three programs are represented in this form, but since no fields are a required field, you can just skip past the program you are not currently doing. Trust me when I say, you will end up doing them all, it’s seriously addictive. Just grab the template embedded below and copy it to your account. I suggest downloading the pocket guides for each program in black and white so you can just pull them up on your device. The files are located here.

Here’s a sample chart utilizing the new abilities in Google Sheets to use multiple ranges of data for chart creation.

Did @iamx write this as an ode to Hitchens?

IAMX Volatile Times

The tracks lyrics are below and they are a either a tribute to Christopher Hitchens, (famous atheist, author). Or he’s referring to himself. Either way, I like it, the fact that someone could be so self indulgent as to declare himself king. Which I think he is because of the reference to King or Queen depending on your mood. He’s been known to enjoy drag. Or to have had the balls to write a song saluting atheism and what some would argue, is one of the most militant atheists.

Update: It really is an ode to Hitchens, IAMX confirmed it on his Facebook.

This is our tribute to one of the greatest writers and thinkers of our time. Spread the message to everyone you know.

I salute you, Christopher
I salute your life
How you play the dice

Your words will live in us
Timelessly insane
Explosive, fresh, and wise

Some will just forget
Some will close their eyes
Some will turn the tide

I salute you, Christopher
Whiskey raised and downed
You risked, and you took the crown

Console yourselves
That a scientific death is better than a fairytale
Of the eternal life

Control yourselves
’cause the Man in the Sky is a tyrant and a lonely psychopath
Dreamed up to steal your minds

A horseman on a track
A brilliant gentle wreck
With a brittle mouth the price

No submit, no compromise
Saint Christopher, all the truths
And the destroyer of soulstrings and threats

They will learn to see in time
They will think before they refuse
The civilization road

I salute you, Christopher
I declare you as our King
Or Queen, depending on your mood

Mini Review: Gayborhood App for Android

Gayborhood puts gay-owned and gay-friendly businesses in your area and across the nation… at your fingertips! Use the “Near Me” feature to locate gay-friendly businesses within miles of your current location, or search by city and plan for future travels. Your Life • Your Journey • Your Gayborhood!

Cute name for an app that’s poorly done. Each time I attempted to search for a business, nothing came back. The few times something came back it was results from businesses in Atlanta, Georgia, I’m in Dallas, Tx. On that note, if you want to find gay friendly businesses in the Dallas area or any city for that matter. You should just point your browser to the Gay Yellow Pages. That’s right, there’s a Gay Yellow Pages. So save that precious space on your Android phone for more useful apps.
